• Developed and implemented differentiated daily and unit Literacy, Math, and Social Studies lesson plans, administered student assessments, analyzed student performance and used data to inform instruction.

• Served as the Literacy Grade Level Leader for Kindergarten from 2015-2016 and lead monthly meetings around literacy topics.

• Lead professional development and coached teachers on best literacy practices, family engagement, and behavior management.

• Worked to develop Global Literacy Curriculum for K-2 in the summer of 2013.

• Created, planned, and implemented DC Bilingual’s Education Expo, where parents received home learning activities and learned more about services and activities at the school.

• Lead professional development for the whole staff around on going communication, building strong relationships, and academic partnering with families.

• Organized and creating tracking systems for home visits, communication, and attendance for teachers’ use.

• Implemented family engagement practices and worked to embed family engagement into the school culture.

• Collaborated with Early Childhood educators to research, develop, and create highly engaging home learning activities around cognitive and language development in young children.

• Evaluated and revised pre-existing home learning resources for partner schools to use in their Academic Parent Teacher Team meetings.
